    What are the costs involved in this service?

    Our specialized content curation & writing services are offered at $75/hr, a lower rate than our design & coding labour. All write-up is done in-house by staff trained internally and in daily contact with our entire team. We can bill by the hour, or provide a fixed quote if you have a firm parameter drawn out.

    What’s the difference between the existing admin service rate of $40/hr? Why is this service significantly more expensive?

    Our content curation & writing service involves research and active content procurement by our specially trained team, making it a much more involved and intelligent process than just loading in provided data as-is.

    Typical consumed hours costs:

    • Write up of an agent bio & brief mission statement: 1~1.5 hours

    • Presale/Building/Development information research & writing: 1~3 hours per building (older buildings are harder to find information on such as floorplans and features)

    • Neighbourhood write-ups: 0.5 to 1 hour per neighbourhood (depending on how much information and details are needed)

      How much is it per month? How much to set up?

      This add on is offered on a monthly subscription basis. However, the page that displays the details of the building is a one-time setup to determine the layout & design according to your site, with a range of options available. Please contact us for more details.

      How much customization is available?

      The map/list hybrid search module is a centralized module maintained and updated by the Brixwork team, so no customization is available as each software update would render the customizations useless. Because of the complexities involved in such a system, we cannot offer customization on this system.

      How is this better from the existing building gallery?

      This system allows our Realtors® to constantly add a large inventory of presales from all across the city, not restricted to a singular neighbourhood. Also, because the map & list talk to each other, it’s an intuitive tool that helps understand which building/presale is where.

      What’s an alternative method from this when it comes to marketing/farming buildings?

      Our existing building galleries module can be seen here on Momentum Inc.’s Buildings Gallery. This is useful when targeting a set number of buildings in a geographically limited region.

      Where does the presale data come from?

      There is no central data for all presales, such as the MLS IDX provided by Paragon, for example (in the REBGV region). All the photos, descriptions, amenities, unit types, PDF floorplans must be entered by each website owner. Brixwork can assist in such data population at an additional hourly rate if you prefer.

      Which buildings/presales can be loaded to my list?

      Because each client has to load & populate the data, it’s up to each agent/team to decide that. Brixwork only provides the tools and framework needed to allow our customers to continuously add more to the stock.

      How about MLS® listings integration? How will that work?

      Any listings that match up with the address ranges (our system accounts for multiple buildings in one development) will be automatically displayed under the same building. That means that any presale building that morphs into an active building with MLS® listings loaded will automatically get such listings populated and displayed. With update 4.5 – where we updated our listing sync X3- any new presale listing will be swiftly reflected in the presale page.

      Dynamic, changing, morphing and evolving – such is the nature of digital marketing. As a firm entrenched in helping Real Estate Professionals, which is one of the most competitive industries with so many competitors, we are constantly working to improve our service standards and quality. Recently we have re-vamped and re-structured our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as well as the pricing. Here are some of the key changes in our strategy, followed by what is being kept constant as the past.

      New Changes To Our Real Estate SEO Programs

      We will explain our newer SEO strategies here in the simplest terms possible. We understand that some technical terms can be confusing, and we are happy to answer more of your questions directly should you have any.

      #1 – Blog Articles Now Mandatory For Content-Rich Websites

      “Content is King” is one of those phrases thrown around a lot – and for very good reason, because it is Google’s mandate to deliver relevant & useful content for their search customers. All of our SEO programs now include a specified number of blog articles by default, because on-site content is hands-down the best way to improve the quality score of your website. Blog articles offer a wealth of options to link to other sections of your website (MLS® search results, or individual listings) as well as link out to reliable 3rd party resources to be of more benefit to your customers (such as reputable news articles, service providers or real estate board websites).

      #2 – More Focus on Quality Backlinks Rather than Quantity

      There was a time when most SEO engineers would pick as many online directories, public forums & blogs to plaster the internet with backlinks to their websites. Some went as far as creating automated posting software that would hit bulletin boards worldwide for tens of thousands of backlinks to be generated within a matter of days. Others went for paid links – which mean absolutely nothing to Google in terms of how valuable & relevant the content on a website is. These practices fall more under the black-hat realm of SEO techniques, which we have never used. Back in the days we leveraged many more sources for more backlinks (but we never used, and never will use, black-hat SEO techniques), but we are putting less emphasis on the number of links, and more emphasis on the quality of backlinks. Certain directories and online blogs are valid and legitimate sources where we can acquire reliable backlinks that have meaning.

      #3 – More In-page Content Throughout (not just the blog)

      Outside of the blog, we aim to place more unique text content to describe neighbourhoods, buildings, property types/subtypes in order to boost the actual quantity and quality of the text content throughout your website. When walking a precarious line between clean & minimalist designs VS content-rich pages, our design/development team’s expertise really shines to achieve a balance of both. Our photo galleries for listings/buildings can have detailed descriptions and information, as well as many other sub-sections of our sites.

This has been one of the most core functionalities for all Brixwork websites for years, and will continue to be so.

      Load Speed & Mobile Responsiveness

      Our core software is constantly tweaked and improved to reduce bottlenecks, decrease page load time, as well as show up better on social share results. Some of the notable improvements made throughout 2016 already include (these upgrades help all of our clients, not just those on the SEO packages)

      Server Security & Reputation Management

      Things You Can Do To Improve Your Presence On Google

      Apart from what our engineers and content generators can do, there are many other things each Realtor® can do in order to improve their rankings and presence on Google.

      • Ensure that your social media profiles (Instagram, LinkedIn) have links to your website included.
      • Share sections of your website (generate a specific property search in neighbourhoods) and copy-paste to share those results on your website.
      • Find cool listings on your own website (whether your own listings, or MLS® Reciprocity driven) and share on your social media.
      • Customize your own property listing descriptions with headings & longer paragraphs (above and beyond what the MLS® system allows you to)

      Frequently Asked Questions

      Q: The SEO Package prices have increased a lot! Why is that?

      A: SEO is a relative game, and the amount of time & effort put into generating content on websites has significantly increased across the board among all competitors. Therefore we need to put in more than double the effort for our SEO campaigns to be effective. Think of the average time of Olympic sprinters decreasing each decade – the standards always go up as a whole. Our pricing is competitive and in-line with other competitors in the SEO industry.

      Q: How long does it take to rank well for specific keywords? And are there guarantees? 

      A: Any properly run SEO campaign actually cannot make solid guarantees, as it is all relative to what the competitors are doing. That being said, traffic increases can be detected as early as 2 months, and up to 1 year may be required to really have impact on the bigger keywords. The bigger the keywords, the more competitive it is.

      Q: It says that blog articles are now mandatory as part of our SEO campaigns. What if I do not have a blog? 

      A: Since SEO is a longer term commitment, with a 3+ month commitment we will install a basic blog for your website at no additional cost.

      Over the weekend the new version of BRIXWORK, 3.8.4, has propagated throughout our networks. This update incorporates back-end user-interface upgrades, internal bug fixes and some more! The majority of the improvements revolve around Buildings management within your system.

      Buildings Filtration Improved

      Buildings can be loaded by feature status/whether they have a name or not!

      The Buildings section of the back-end UI has been upgraded so that you can now load buildings by its Featured status, or by ones that have a name set up already. This makes it easier to load up your most frequently used buildings.

      For those of you who do not have any building features on the front-end of your website, this is a good time to request upgrades (charges may apply). We have been working diligently on our buildings module to introduce new ways to effectively market condominiums and townhouses.

      In the future, this is what our buildings module can do for you:

      1. Display building pages (your featured buildings first for niche marketing)
      2. Display pictures, building amenities & features, photos, PDFs.
      3. Show all available listings by building
      4. When viewing a condo/townhouse unit, visitors can immediately look at other listings in the building.
      We already have the preliminary technology ready to set up listing pages by building/complexes – contact our support team if you require an upgrade.

      More robust buildings data editing

      Buildings can now have a full description (content) and also a brief excerpt (short description). This will allow for better buildings display by diversifying the amount of text shown depending on the screen. For example, when you are looking at a list of multiple buildings, the excerpt can be shown under the name of the buildings. When you are viewing the building detail page, the full content can be shown!

      Other Internal Bug Fixes

      1. Our number/digit calculator module has been updated to work better with decimal numbers.
      2. The mortgage calculator has been updated so that it can calculate in the Canadian method and the USA method (compounding periods differ between these two countries). You can see a preview of this on Eunice Lee’s real estate listings page.


      New Dashboard for BRIXWORK {real estate} Back-End2012-01-11T01:23:25+00:00

      Today marks the release of what is the biggest improvement we’ve had for the BRIXWORK {real estate} Dashboard on the back-end. The traditional dashboard had a table on the # of homes listed by client in each city, which was not found to be too helpful anyway. So we decided to give it a major overhaul, especially with some great features integrated from our recent MLS® Integration update!

      The New Dashboard Functions

      1.  The new “Featured Home” section allows you to quickly view a drawer of homes you have set as Featured. You can quickly view the property page, or edit it. If it’s part of a condo/townhome complex, you can quickly go to edit the building page.
      2. The MLS® Search function is an easy way to quickly retrieve any listing by its MLS ID (such as V924164) and then generate a listing page on your own website. Use this feature to share fully branded webpages for any listing you want to show to a potential buyer. The standard sheets are hard to read, with too much excess data – why not simplify it digitally?
      3. The BRIXWORK {real estate} blog feed automatically shows you what’s new. Our blog has a ton of great new updates, feature introductions, user tips, technical hints and more, so why miss out on it? This way you can keep up-to-date at all times.
      4. And of course, our Facebook box is embedded – another source of updates to get quick & live information on what’s going on. If there’s any new features being planned, any surveys for our customers, this is where you will see it.

      Other Features To Note

      The Buildings section
      1. The Buildings section has been changed a lot. When the integration with the MLS database happens, buildings are auto generated (but without the names of the complex, as the MLS® System does not have a field for this).
      2. When you go into the buildings list, to avoid loading a list of over 3,500 buildings in the system, it only loads that of the first city (in the case of Vancouver, it’s Abbotsford). Then you can use the dropdown to zone into different cities, and even type in street numbers & street names (but skip the street types such as “Street”, “AVE”, or “Cres.”) to find a building you want. Then, you can update the name of the building, or attach features to it.
      MLS IDs in your homes
      1. If you have the MLS® Integration option added to your system, your website automatically updates the listing inventory once a day. However, there are two types of inventory in your system – those auto-imported from the MLS System, and those that have been put in yourself as a self-loaded listing.
      2. If you wish to (with permission by the listing agent) convert an MLS® provided listing into your own listing and upload high-resolution photos, full description content and other things (remember that our system is much more robust & flexible than the MLS® system when it comes to freedom of content and quality of photos, as well as linking Youtube video tours), you can do that by going to the “Create Home” screen, and entering the MLS® ID into the MLS field, and follow the prompts to convert the listing over.
      3. If you have already loaded a listing of your own (or a fellow agent’s) on your own listing system, then just make sure you have the right MLS# for that listing. Each night when the data import with MLS runs, it will exclude listings that have the same MLS ID on your own system.
